Now, to better play these video in front of my students in the classroom, I need to edit my Sony PXW-FS7 4K XAVC in FCP, as far as I know FCP doesn’t support XAVC format? Please help me, thanks!

Step 1: Load 4K XAVC video to the program
Install and run the Sony PXW-FS7 Video Converter and click “Add files” button to upload files you want to add. If you want to join several 4K XAVC footage together, you can click “Settings” button then check the “Merge into one file” box to complete the work.
Step 2: Select FCP preferred format
Click “Format” pull down list to choose “Final Cut Pro” and “Apple Prores 422 (*.mov)” as the output file format
Step 4: Start XAVC to FCP conversion
When you have finished above steps, just tap “Convert” button at the bottom right corner to finish XAVC to Prores conversion for using in Final Cut Pro (FCP X, FCP 7, FCP 5).
